Rachel Norris

Dr. Rachel Norris is the founder and medical director of Imagine Healthcare in Chicago, IL. Although the beginning of her professional life started off in the arts, it was during a life-changing trip to Cuba in 1995 that she discovered her true passion wasn’t to restore art, but to “restore people”.

Dr. Norris applied to medical school and completed a second bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from UCSB. She then went on to obtain her Masters in Bioethics at Case Western, and began medical school soon after. She studied for 4 years at the University of Pittsburgh before moving to Chicago, where she completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at Northwestern and accepted a job as an attending physician at Evanston Hospital (now Northshore University Healthsystem).

It was during her time working in the ER that she saw firsthand the problems within the healthcare system. She underwent fellowship training at the University of Chicago in Hospice and Palliative Medicine to understand how to provide people with a better quality of life.

Dr. Norris believes her duty to those seeking better health extends beyond the clinic’s doors. As a board member of the Illinois Psychedelic Society and Entheo IL, she hopes to help expand treatment options for ailments of mind, body, and soul.
