Mark Haden

Mark Haden has a robust educational and professional background. He obtained a Masters of Social Work from UBC and worked for the Addiction Services for 28 years in counseling and supervisory roles.

Currently Mark is the VP of Business Development for Clearmind Medicine, an adjunct professor at the University of British Columbia School of Population and Public Health, and acts as an advisor for Psygen. Mark was the Executive Director of MAPS Canada (Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies) for 10 years. In addition to his extensive work background, Mark has published on the issue of drug control policy and psychedelics in the following journals:

  • Journal of Psychoactive Drugs

Mark has provided public education on drugs and drug policy for over 30 years. He’s worked with the Health Officers Council of British Columbia on their position papers on the issue of a regulated market for all currently illegal drugs. He’s also presented in conferences and training events in many countries, and was awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal for drug policy reform work in 2013.
